Singapore Higher Education

Post-secondary education is provided by three kinds of institutions: universities, polytechnics, and the ITE. There are three publicly-funded universities: National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University. There are five polytechnics: Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Temasek Polytehcnic, Nanyang Polytecnic and Republic Polytechnic.

Junior College Curriculum: 2-year course. Most direct route to University. Flexibility to pick subject combinations comprising H1, H2 and/or H3 level subjects. All subjects focus on breadth and depth of knowledge, and Higher-order thinking skills. Students must complete Project Work. Flexible lecture-tutorial-laboratory system. More opportunities to interact, exchange ideas and collaborate with peers in activities. All-round development emphasised through college programmes to develop student's potentialStudents receive a School Graduation Certificate with emphasis on Holistic Developement. The student takes ownership in learning. The student needs to manage time efficiently.
